Standard 600 pound capacity winch with a black powder coat finish.
This winch does NOT have the brake mechanism, there's a lock out lever for the ratchet so you can stop and hold the rack if you want. When you are lowering your system you release the lock out lever while keeping a firm grasp on the handle as you lower. Make sure you don't let go as we are not responsible for injuries incurred. It's really not that hard to do, just don't let go of the handle until you have it locked in again.
The positive is that this winch makes for smooth raising and lowering without some of the bouncing that can occur with brake winches.
NO weight minimum is also a plus.
