The Amish classic made available to you. Those who are not familiar with the Amish community are not aware of the huge advances that they have made available in the housing of purple martins. The T-14 was designed by the PMCA's 1993 Purple Martin Landlord of the Year, Andrew Troyer. These martin houses feature the finest craftsmanship and modern conveniences that make hosting purple martins a true pleasure.
Wood houses have the best insulation capabilities. Great for northern landlords, these wood houses retain warmth in early spring cold snaps and stay cooler in hot weather.
These houses feature:
> Round entrance holes OR SREH -You decide
> Quality SOLID Red Cedar (unpainted)
Wood roof OR for an upgrade select a Poly-Tuf roof
> Large Compartments (6.5" wide x 6" high x 11" long)
> Pole Cap for topping off your wood pole
> 8 necessary bolts and wing nuts.
> 2 Perch rods
> Owl resistant due to compartment depth.
> Single Off-Set Porches to cut down on porch domination.
These houses come standard with round entrance holes but you can select an option to have the Starling Resistant Entrance Holes (Conley II) for no additional charge to keep your purple martins safe from the dreaded European Starlings.
Poly-Tuf roof is available as an upgrade. Poly roof is lasts a lifetime, doesn't rot like wood, and you don't need to paint it!
These purple martin houses are meant to be raised and lowered via a center post. Wooden ones can be purchased at a lumber yard or home improvement store or you can add on an Aluminum 3" square high tensile pole.
Add on the 16 foot long 3" square Aluminum Pole comes in 2 sections and includes the mounting kit for the aluminum pole, ball top, perching rods and a ground stake- for an additional charge. See drop down menu. Also Includes the brake winch that is especially designed for safety and can easily lift this 120 pound house.
Add on the Mounting Kit if you will be using your own wooden pole. The kit includes a brake winch, 34 feet of 3/16” steel cable, a pulley assembly, cable clamps, tarpaulin hook, lag bolts for securing the winch to the wooden pole, a 6” safety bolt, and a winch padlock and chain to discourage uninvited guests. It is an additional charge.

Don't be misled by lower prices on other sites. They either add on additional charges to ship or their wooden houses are made of thin plywood and not well suited for easy clean outs and nest checks.
